Istanbul Mehmet, a long-established Turkish cymbal manufacturer, is known for its deep, pleasant, and powerful sound, attracting attention from drummers and other musicians around the world. This cymbal is a remake based on a cymbal used by jazz drummer master Tony Williams. Tony Williams joined the Miles Davis Quintet at the tender age of 17. He was hailed as a genius drummer, and his influence continues to be felt by drummers today. With the help of Tony's beloved wife, he borrowed cymbals that he inherited from his teacher, the legendary jazz drummer Max Roach (who played some great performances on numerous recordings with the Miles Davis Quintet in the 1960s). In order to reproduce the original sound, we have thoroughly researched and reproduced every detail in terms of design, taper, weight, and size.
