What is the purpose of studying grammar? To study or work in Japan, you need to be able to listen, read, speak, and write Japanese correctly. Without a solid understanding of grammar, you won't receive the necessary information or communicate what you want to say. This book will help you learn grammar, the key to improving your Japanese language proficiency, through your five senses and naturally acquire it.
This book covers all grammar items at the N3 level of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) (110 items/10 units divided by level). The JLPT is held every July and December in Japan and abroad. It is widely used not only as a test of Japanese language proficiency, but also as a prerequisite for university entrance exams, pass/fail criteria, and employment assessment criteria.
Features of the "JLPT Learn by Ear" series
[1] Learn by listening, so it sticks in your memory!
For every entry, one example sentence is provided for each meaning. Hearing the audio, rather than just reading and writing, is more effective when you memorize!
[2] Improve your practical skills with plenty of practice questions and JLPT preparation questions!
Each unit includes "Dictation" and "Practice," plus a "Summary Test" every few units, and a "Comprehensive Questions" at the end of the book. Example sentences for headwords are repeatedly used in the "Practice" and "Summary Test" sections, allowing you to thoroughly check your memory of meaning and form, and develop practical skills for the JLPT.
[3] Key Revisions [Visually Easy-to-Understand Connection Diagrams & Translations of "Meanings" of Grammar Items]
In this revision, we've added diagrams to make connections between parts of speech in the grammar you're studying clear at a glance. In addition, English, Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese translations of "Meanings" have been added. A solid understanding of form and meaning will help you deeply master grammar items.
