At first it seems to hold the hair well, but after a few head movements, it comes out of the hair. It may not be suitable for soft hair. Edit: it doesn't hold the hair at all and on top of that a tooth broke :(

Definitely suitable for thicker hair, my hair is quite thin but it holds well
