17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A*2 VC RXD (Model B070) is a large-diameter standard zoom lens for Fujifilm X mount compatible with APS-C size mirrorless single-lens cameras. The aim was to achieve both wide range and high image quality.
It is the world's first APS-C compatible standard zoom lens that has a zoom ratio of 4.1x, a focal length of 17-70mm (equivalent to 25.5-105mm in 35mm format), and a large aperture of F2.8.
This lens is also equipped with Tamron's unique image stabilization mechanism VC (Vibration Compensation).
By utilizing AI (artificial intelligence) technology, it is possible to obtain correction effects that are more considerate of video shooting than traditional VC mechanisms. The size is designed to be compatible with APS-C size mirrorless cameras, and even though it is equipped with a VC mechanism, it is lightweight and compact. Recommended not only for daily use, but also for outdoor situations where you want to reduce the burden of luggage.
The AF drive is equipped with a silent, high-speed, precise stepping motor unit RXD (Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive). It also suppresses focus breathing that occurs when shooting video.
In addition to achieving a minimum focusing distance of 0.19m at the wide-angle end and 0.39m at the telephoto end, the Model B070 is also equipped with features that support comfortable shooting, such as a simple drip-proof structure and antifouling coating.
