Product Description
Noise Reduction Rating - NRR 33 (when used as directed)
Soft-touch foam for a soft, comfortable fit.
Conventional hearing protectors have noise reduction ratings ranging from approximately 0 to 30 (higher numbers indicate greater effectiveness).
EPA Required Information: When wearing hearing protectors according to the instructions, the noise level delivered to the user's ears is approximately approximated by the difference between the A-weighted environmental noise level and the noise reduction ratio (NR).
Example: (1) The environmental noise level measured at the ear is 92 dBA. (2) The NRR is 33 decibels (dB). (3) The noise delivered to the ear is approximately equal to [92 dB(A) - 33]59 dB(A).
How to Use
With clean hands, slowly insert the plug into the wrinkle-free cylinder.
Press the plug and insert it into the ear canal. Pulling the outer ear outward and upward while inserting makes it easier to fit. Use your fingertips to hold the plug in place until it begins to expand.
Do not cut the earplugs. Close adult supervision is required for children. Inspect the plugs before use and replace them if they are damaged or show signs of use. Do not use for extended periods. This product is for single-user use only.
Do not allow infants or children to get the earplugs stuck in their windpipes, which could cause suffocation. If you experience pain or discomfort while using this product, discontinue use.
For environments where noise levels are predominantly below 500 Hz, the C-weighted environmental noise level should be used. Improper use of the device will reduce noise reduction. Refer to the enclosed product insert for proper fit. Hearing protection may be recommended to prevent the harmful effects of impulse noise; however, the noise reduction rating (NRR) is based on the attenuation of continuous noise and is not an accurate indicator of protection from impulse noises such as gunshots.
