Aluminum Radiator Hose Swivel Neck Thermostat Housing For Honda K-Series K20 K24
The thermostat housing is responsible for regulating coolant intake inside the engine bay. Coolant is responsible for transferring the heat of the engine out to the radiator bay to be dispersed into the air.
The thermostat housing and the thermostat itself are two different components and do not necessarily need to be replaced together or at the same time. The housing is just a piece that covers the thermostat that also has an opening for a radiator hose which is where the water enters and exits the motor.
Radiator hoses can connect to housing. In many engines, the thermostat housing serves as the coolant outlet and is located on either the cylinder block or intake manifold. Coolant typically flows out of the housing, through a large hose, and into the radiator.
