This monumental collection of Chopin's 232 works was completed over the course of 10 years by the Muza label in Chopin's birthplace, Poland, with the cooperation of the Warsaw Chopin Society and the country's leading performers.
The scores used are the Paderewski Urtext edition, and this box set includes a valuable resource of 18 CDs, a detailed 209-page commentary booklet, a 42-page booklet with musical examples of the themes of all the pieces, and a theme index CD that provides audio examples of the themes.
The theme index is particularly outstanding, allowing you to find the themes of the works both through musical examples and audio. (Both the commentary booklet and theme index booklet are written in Japanese.)
Product Condition
CDs 1-18 and the theme index show minor scuff marks on CDs 2 and 3, a faint scuff mark on CD 13, and a short scuff mark on CD 15. These are on the data protection layer and have been confirmed to be in good condition. (Photo 13 is of CD 15; the others were not visible in the photos and are therefore not included.)
There is also slight discoloration around the corners of the outer box and on the instruction manual, and fading on the theme index booklet.
