Nashien Dye tenugui are almost entirely made by hand, from the stencil making to the dyeing and final folding process. The warmth of hand-dyeing, which cannot be felt with machine production, gives Nashien Dye a deep flavor. Nashien Dye embodies "traditional craftsmanship" and "modern Japan."

<Features> Nashien Dye's signature technique is the "Chū-sen" dyeing method. This dyeing method, designated a traditional craft, allows for dyeing on both sides of the fabric. The beautiful colors and beautiful texture are only possible because it is hand-dyed by skilled artisans. Niwa-zome also uses its own original fabrics and is particular about the quality of the bleached cotton used in its tenugui and yukata.

Rather than faithfully recreating old designs through nostalgia, Niwa-zome breathes new life into traditional designs, transforming them to suit the times. This evolution creates unique, new designs.
