There are no rough corners nor edges, it holds the hair decently in place, without too much tugging Some patience with the clapping sound when it doesn't exactly go in the gap perfectly, which won't hinder the use in any way, since it will slide in regardless (and a bigger gap would make it harder to keep the hair straight for trimming/cutting) Very happy with the purchase!
