Appropriate placement of one FLD glass and five SLD glasses suppresses chromatic aberration all the way to the periphery of the screen. Using three aspherical lenses, including a large-diameter aspherical lens at the front, it effectively suppresses coma aberration and achieves overwhelming resolution.
In addition to the super multi-layer coating, SIGMA's proprietary coating technology ``NPC (Nano Porous Coating)'' is used for coating. The design is such that it is not easily affected by strong incident light such as backlight.
By adopting a stepping motor, the AF drive is both faster and quieter. Comfortable shooting is possible with target AF such as face/eye priority AF and video shooting. Additionally, the AFL button, which can be assigned various functions, expands the range of operations on the lens side.
